Snow in North Carolina

Helloooo Furends & Family!

A few days ago it snowed a whole lot here at Happy Fields in North Carolina.

My cat Buddy wasn't allowed outside, even though he would like to go eat grass. But his mombean took me with her out to visit the horses. It was very cold!! The snow was very wet, and even though I am a duck and I like water, this was not like good swimming water that feels good on your flippers.

Look what my Cuzzin George's typist made for him so he wouldn't be cold and wet. Don't you think my cat Buddy's mombean should make me some nice (pink) snow clothes?
Please come back for my next post - I went on a trip!!

Gloria

Farm chores

Hi Friends, Gloria here.

Thanks so much for coming by to see me! I'm so excited to have my very own followers on my very own blog. Lots of ducks aren't as lucky as me.

I realized in my first post that I didn't put the link to my cat Buddy's blog, the Carolina Cats. It used to be the 2 Carolina Cats, but then the mom bean adopted another kitty named Jazzy. And then, the mom and all the kitties moved in with the mom's sister (Ant Marjie) and the horsey girl, Jackie.

That's where the woofie and the Cuzzin kitties and horsies come in!

This farm is a really cool place for animals and peoples. There are lots of chores to do, so I told Buddy right away that I'm a hard-working duck and I would be happy to help out.

First, I swept the porch of the horsey girl's cottage...

...then I helped Ant Marjie mow the field...
...then I jumped into some wellies so I wouldn't get my feet dirty and headed to the barn!

I mucked out Max' stall all by myself!

...took the muckings out to the field and dumped it out...

...then I put some nice fresh wood shavings and straw down in the stalls for the horsies.

Finally, I was finished with my chores!! Look at this beautiful pond they had ready for me. I splashed and quacked around and was quite refreshed.

My next post: Helping the Horsey Girl and Max the Horse with their jumping

Quacks & hugs, your friend Gloria
